Please explain what your two main legislative priorities will be if elected. Please explain how you would obtain any additional government funding needed to implement these priorities.

Full funding of the state's obligation to pay 55% of the cost of local schools, through redirection of money spent for corporate welfare, such as the multi-million-dollar giveaway to BIW authorized a few years ago.

Food safety -- The cost of labeling genetically-engineered foods would be minimal on businesses, with only slight modification to the next batch of labels. Data on pesticide and herbicide use can be compiled by staff in the Department of Agriculture.

In order to keep the Maine economy growing, we need to ensure Maine's graduates are being taught necessary job skills for today's workplace. ... To meet this goal, I will facilitate communication between business leaders and educational professionals...

Given the recent national tax report that shows Maine has high state and local taxes, when elected I will work for development of a comprehensive tax strategy that lowers the tax burden on Maine people. ....
